The Shelton is a great shoe with great comfort and features.

I recently purchased another pair of the Shelton in the walnut/brown color. I also have a Shelton in the burgundy/black which is the older model. I purchased the new Shelton because I have really enjoyed my old Shelton. It has a perfect fit and is very comfortable. Moreover, it can be worn both as a dress and causal shoe which means I have been able to wear it on many different occasions. I would have recommend the Shelton to anyone who is looking for a dress or causal shoe that has great comfort features.

This shoe wears well, is comfortable, however it takes much too long to get the leather to shine the way a dress shoe should.

The "cordovan"/ burgundy leather finish is not up to Edmonds standards

Sorry, but I'm Dissapointed in the quality of the leather. Unable to bring a gloss shine as I had experienced with the two previous Shelton shoes I had purchased.

Sharp and versatile

I have used this shoe to finish off my look with a suit but also to make casual outfits snap. I was a bit apprehensive about the two tone color but I am glad that I decided to add the Shelton to my stable of Allen Edmonds. I end up putting a lot of miles on my dress shoes so obviously I wear through the sole quicker than most but the rest of the shoe held up well through its first recraft. For a leather soled shoe the Shelton is comfortable for the commute, rigors at the office and for the walk home. If you do not care to entertain compliments on your shoes you should look elsewhere. I rarely go a day in my Sheltons free of commendation.
