Shelton vs Polo

The single sole of the Shelton makes them seem less substantial than the old Polo saddle shoe, but I believe this is a matter of style, not quality. The quality of the Shelton seems equal to the old Polo to me. I don't think anyone who has not previously owned a pair of Polo's would notice or care.

Great fit, just did not give me the options I thought. Not really dressy and a little too much for casual. Quality as always is top notch

Allen Edmonds quality and craftmanship are legendary. However, their lasts tend to run narrow, except for the 73 last which offers my size 9 EEE feet a perfect fit. The Shelton Saddle is not crafted on the 73 last, hence it will take about a month for these shoes to feel comfortable on my feet. I am quite willing to wait and endure a bit discomfort because after searching multiple web sites for an elegant yet somewhat casual looking pair of brown shoes, the Shelton was the only style to match my needs. This is a shoe that makes the wearer look like he is going places in the world. So many shoes on the market today have a similar look, but the Shelton stands out. Quality, Quality, Quality. Now if I could only convince Allen Edmonds to make available many more styles crafted on the 73 last........

I thought the shoe was very classy and fits as well as it looks. I got a ton of compliments and pointed people to the website to grab them before they are gone.
