Great boots for large calves

I have been looking for real leather boots to fit my 17 inch calves for a long time. And now I have finally found them. And even though the website says the boot shaft circumference is 16 inches, I can still fit jeans inside the boots. These boots are a bit shorter than others I have tried as they hit me just below the largest part of calf. These boots are very high quality and well made. The leather finish of the dark brown boots is very attractive and has a nice worn look right out the box. To sum it up, if you have ever been able to wear boots right off the rack, these boots are not for you. However, if you are like me and have larger calves that have always prevented you from getting cute boots.; look no further. These are for you.

Ordered these in a size 6 although I normally wear a 5. I thought they might be too big, but they are okay. It's nice to have them be a bit roomy, especially on long days when you are standing a lot. At first, I got some blisters on my heel from the lifting. However, they are quick to break in, so slap on the bandaids and endure the pain because it will totally be worth it! The calf is roomy; I have larger calves so this is a nice option to have them come in extended calf. I am 5"3 and the boots come just 2" below my knee. The color is slightly lighter than I thought they would be. They are brown with a black over wash. The leather is soft and I can smell it every time I wear these.

I love these boots but I was a little surprised about the color when I opened up the box. Online the boots look like a rich chocolate brown but in person they are very marbled with a lighter brown and almost black. Not what I was expecting at all. But once I tried them on they fit great and I fell in love. I ordered the size I always get (a 9) and they fit perfectly.

These boots are great.for the first time I'm able to wear my jeans tucked into my boots!and of course they are frye quality.
