I have wide muscular calves from years of soccer and these are the first real leather boots I've found that fit great and are roomy enough to tuck into jeans with room to spare. I hesitated on spending the money on these boots, but the leather is beautiful and they look great on. You will have to wear them in a bit because the heel starts out uncomfortable and rubbed against the back of my heel when I walked, but now they're fine. I love these boots! I plan to keep these forever. If you're hesitating about the price, save up or get them as a gift because they are worth it!

I have been looking everywhere for good-looking wide/extended calf boots that didn't have a high heel. I ordered several other pairs and returned them all. Even some of the boots that were specifically described as wide-calf were barely bigger than a "regular" calf boot and were just too tight. These boots have a nice wide calf and I even have room to tuck my jeans into them, and they are great looking and well-crafted, and since these are Frye they'll last forever!

Clunky & Uncomfortable

I was so happy to find a pair of Fryes that fit my calves, however, these hurt my feet so bad they're going back. Heavy and clunky boot and super uncomfortable. The shaft is also an odd height, shorter than I would've expected.

These boots fit amazingly well and I LOVE THEM! Finally a boot that fits a wider calf but doesn't look huge or out of date. The leather is very soft and the high quality you expect from Frye. Can't wait to wear them constantly this Fall, Winter and Spring...oh and probably the Summer too!:)
