I have super dry skin. I've seen a big difference since using this product, which was referred to me by an experienced Esthetician. I've noticed a more even tone in my skin and a big improvement on the dryness. My skin looks so much better...thank goodness.

Proslightweight, transforming, hydrating
A little over a month ago, I was traveling a lot, and my skin was absolutely dreadful from dry hotel rooms and cold climates. Because I am getting married in a few months, I freaked out, and headed to the mall to figure out some sort of miracle to fix my skin. I bought a bunch of random products at a major cosmetics retailer, and when I was walking through Nordstrom to leave the mall, an Arcona brand rep approached me offering a free mini facial. It was the first time I had ever heard of the brand, but the products seemed good because they are natural and contained way less chemicals than the stuff I had bought, (and I love Nordstrom's return policy), so I decided to try out the Arcona starter kit for dry skin.
So far, a little over a month in, my skin is totally transformed. I don't know if it's 100% the Arcona or the fact that I started using my Clarisonic again over the past month in conjunction with the Arcona kiwi cleansing bar, but I am sold. At first, I was really worried that the kit wasn't moisturizing enough for my dry skin, but after a few days, my skin seemed to be producing more oil and looking a lot less flaky and dry! I don't really follow their recommended routine of alternating between the 5 products anymore because I have now also bought the Magic Dry Ice, The Solution Pads and the Wine Mask which I have added in to create my own routine. I think the Magic Dry Ice is a great product to purchase as an addition to the basic 5 kit for dry climates and harsh winters if you have dry skin.
Overall, I give the kit 4 stars. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I am not a big fan of bar cleansers, and I wish the cleanser was in a pump format to be more hygienic. My skin is now a lot more radiant and dewy, and I feel like I have to wear a lot less makeup to make myself feel "pretty," which is great. I also am almost certain I see a reduction in fine lines on my forehead as well!
**I have followed their directions for the most part and have not used any other brands of skincare products with the exception of an Ole Henriksen eye gel. The results I've seen in my skin have been 100% attributed to the Arcona skincare set and my Clarisonic.
I started using an Arcona regimen developed for me by an Arocona rep during a beauty event almost 6 months ago. I am a skincare geek and have had many compliments from strangers on my skin on a regular basis for many years. After the Arcona mini-facial, my face/neck/decolete felt immediately more hydrated than ever before. I also use the Night Worker, Eye Dew, Triad pads (for lazy night cleansing), spf 40. Now, when I look in the mirror, I don't feel as interested in putting on make-up because my freckles have faded significantly, pores (already small) are now almost invisible. My emerging crows feet are also subsiding. The more consistently I stick to the full prescribed regime, the better I look. This is the most I've ever spent on skincare, but it's soooo worth it! I also LOVE that it's made from natural products, mostly vegan.

I have been using the Arcona 'basic five' for dry skin for about 10 days now. I hesitate to write a good review now -- I feel like the Nordstrom site is littered with my glowing reviews of products that I loved for a month and then abandoned a month later with miscellaneous problems. But after 10 days using the Arcona system, I truly see a difference in my skin. I swear, it looks creamier and glows.
Before using Arcona, I just did a basic wash and moisturize regimen and had recently added in the Clarisonic and a night cream. So it's possible that adding in the exfoliation and serum made some of the difference.
I used to think I had oily skin and used products for oily skin, but I found that those cleansers really dried me out, which I had to compensate for with moisturizer. I could see my foundation building up on the dry skin in the morning, yet I was an oil slick by noon. A lady at a Nordstrom counter commented that my skin was dry. To this day, I really don't know which I am -- maybe it's just normal skin and reactive to products. But based on the recommendation of a very helpful online beauty stylist, I decided to try the Arcona five for dry skin.
As other reviewers have noted, there are several products which you use on different days. After a few days, I was able to remember the pattern without having to rely on the instructional card. It is not too complicated.
The kiwi bar soap cleans thoroughly without stripping. I use it with my Clarisonic at night, and it works great. My favorite product is the gentle solution. It tingles a little after putting it on, and it seems like I can feel it working! When I wake up in the morning, my skin is smooth and lovely. The golden grain gommage is a great exfoliator -- it is rough, and I feel like it's doing its job. I'm on the fence about the peptide hydrating complex -- I do really like what it does, but it may be too heavy for me, especially in summer. Finally, while I do use it everyday, I haven't the slightest idea what the desert mist does, except it does seem to make putting on makeup easier.
I'm happy so far with Arcona and am excited to try more Arcona products.
