These matte lipsticks are the BEST in terms of color selection and quality of color payoff. Nars always makes very versatile and effortlessly natural and sophisticated looking colors. I have almost all of the colors and they are my favorite lipsticks, hands down. I do recommend putting a thing layer of lipbalm underneath the lipsticks in order for them to go on smoothly and not dry out your lips. Once on though, they are very moisturizing.

Proslong-wearing, non-sticky, pale
Way too light! I have very fair skin, and this was way too pale. It made my lips just disappear. I can't imagine who could wear this color!! Wish I had ordered a darker color, but I was hoping for something that looked very natural. This is not it.
On the other hand, the lipstick itself could have been very nice if the color were darker. It's very matte, goes on dry but isn't "drying" to the lips. Packaging (the lipstick tube) is gorgeous.

I bought this color (Madere) online; I should have bought it in the store or at least looked at the color & tried it on. Shame on me! Madere is way lighter than what is depicted online. It looks like a stick concealer! I'm giving this one star solely because of the color. The lipstick itself, I like. The other color I bought online was Bankok, & I have a favorable review for this one. If you anticipate that matte, long wearing lipsticks are dry & not moisturizing, then this lipstick won't surprise you. However, with that said, I find that this lipstick goes on smoothly. It didn't dry out or chap my lips, but it does feel dry to the touch. It is long wearing. To add moisture, I put on little Orgasm lip gloss; just a little so I can keep the matte look as best as possible.

This matte lipstick is immediately uncomfortable to me. It went right back as it was too drying
