I absolutely love this dress. I recently purchased it for my Granddaughter's wedding and when I had it hemmed, the seamstress put a hook on the back so the very small train could be hooked up after the ceremony. I got dozens of compliments and since I am in my 60's, I was very flattered. I would recommend this dress to feel "very special."

I purchased this dress in a size 8 regular and loved it. I had ordered numerous dresses from Nordstrom to try for my son's wedding in October (thank you, Nordstrom, for free shipping and returns!), and my family unanimously voted for this one. However, even though I don't usually wear a petite size (I am 5' 3"), the 8 regular was long and would have needed to be hemmed several inches, plus the zipper bunched in the back as the body was also too long. Too my delight, this gown came out in petite sizes. It was not yet available through the website, but the wonderful customer service lady called a store where another wonderful salesperson said she had just unpacked their very first petite sizes that morning and would send me an 8P. It fits perfectly and needs no hemming. The gown is elegant and sophisticated. At my age, I had initially thought about going with something loose and flow-y, but the ruching on this dress really does hide a multitude of sins and accentuates the positive. The asymmetrical neckline is classy, and I like having sleeves as it may be cool in October. The short train is a nice touch. I did sew a hook and eye on the back seam to bustle it for dancing.

I recently bought a dress for my Son's wedding in November, when It arrived I tried it on and looked like I had no shape at all and the color was blah... I was so depressed and felt like a frumpy old woman. So I went back on Nordstrom's formal dress site and found this dress. The color was elegant and fresh the fit looked beautiful so I decided to go for it. I went to the store to buy a medium but they only had it in small so I tried it on and it was perfect. The salesgirl Cindy, at the Boca store was so sweet and helpful. The legnth was a little long so the seamstress was called to advise me I was told the alterations are free. I don't think many women realized that, I read many reviews that said they had to pay a tailor to shortened the dress, Nordstroms will do it for you ladies. They are wonderful!! She also told me to pull the shoulders down and it instantly made for a beautiful line on the chest area. I will wear a simple diamond necklace and earrings to compliment the dress without over powering it. They were so wonderful at Nordstroms. And the best part was later my husband told me when I walked out of the fitting room he couldn't believe how beautiful I looked. He said it looked like the dress was custom made for me, and he loved the color and the pleat on the back, so flattering. Thank you Nordstroms for making me feel beautiful, I will be shopping there in the future:)

I felt like a million dollars in this dress! My son is recently engaged and told me when he saw me in the dress that it would be the perfect kind of dress for the Mother of the Groom! I love the asymmetrical neckline and it couldn't have fit more perfectly. My only complaint is that it was a little long in the front, and even though I wore heels, I felt as though it could have been a little shorter. I am 5'6" so have never had problems with anything being too long. So, you taller ladies will love it!
