I wore this dress to my daughter's wedding. The dress was absolutely beautiful. I did not want to wear the standard mother of the bride dress and this dress was exactly what I was looking for. It was cool and comfortable, I did not want to take it off. The ruching helps hide any body imperfections.

I bought this dress to wear to a friend's black tie wedding and it was perfect. I'm 5'2" and weigh 109 lbs. and even though I bought the XS, it still needed to be shortened (a lot) but that was all that was done. Even though I loved the fishtail, I had it removed because I wanted to be able to dance and move around more easily, but it didn't hurt the look of the dress at all. It's incredibly comfortable, doesn't bunch or cling in the wrong places and makes you look curvier than you really are. The neckline is really interesting and there's enough detail in the dress that you don't need to wear jewelry or do anything else to make it stand out. The dress is simple, elegant and classy and can be worn to any type of formal event, regardless of the time of day or season. I never bought a formal dress on-line based on pictures and reviews but I did this time and am glad I did.

I love this dress. The color blue is beautiful and very complimentary! I hope to wear it to my son's wedding. The top is flattering and the ruching hides flaws... I am short so will have to have it hemmed--a lot! Wish it came in a petite!

tadashi Shoji is a genius!! I own 4 of his dresses and they all fit so lovely. He knows how to dress women. I'm 5'10, size 14. The large is awesome.Love the spandex. If I lose some weight I'll look A++, but if I don't it'll still be an A+. This is for my daughters wedding in October and the mesh overlay is lighter weight than his other ruched dresses that I own, but not "summer" I love the color. It looks beautiful with my red hair. It is a fabulous cobalt. The length is great for me. I often have a "too short" problem, unlike most women. 2-3" heels will be perfect.
