I had been looking for a dress for my daughter's wedding, and I had very specific needs. Firstly, I needed an elegant dress that wouldn't look too flashy. Secondly, I wanted to stay under $250 and finally, my daughter requested a blue dress for me. Her wedding colors are all shades of blue, so I had a lot of leeway. I had looked for several months and I was thrilled when I found this dress. It is very flattering and I am sure it would work for many figure types. I am well-endowed on top, and this dress minimizes that..I believe it it the draping and the neckline. The train adds to the overall image, and transforms this dress from pretty to truly elegant. I chose silver shoes with small pearls clips with matching jewelry. This dress is a great choice...flattering, comfortable and well-priced. I know I will wear it after the wedding, so this dress is practical, too. I also discovered all the wedding services provided by Nordstrom's, and this has been very welcomed, too. I give my dress and Nordstrom's each 5 stars!

This dress is perfect for my daughter's up coming wedding. It is simple but classy.I wanted a dress that was a show stopper but not so flashy that it takes away from the bride. I am going to wear it with big drop silver/crystal earrings and a silver/crystal braclet. I am 5'4" and wear a size 8 or 10 so I ordered a size meduim. It fits good (a little big on the top) and is figure flattering (hides my flaws) but it is long and will need to be altered. My husband said this is the one! I agree.

For a formal, this dress is insanely comfortable. That can be our little secret. What everyone else will see is the gorgeous cobalt blue, the draping, the shape, the train. I was afraid that all the ruching would be bulky in a larger size, but the fabric is so light that it isn't at all. It falls and drapes beautifully, highlighting curves without clinging unattractively (and if I'm honest, the elbow sleeves hide a few shortcomings). The wide neckline allows for a great necklace, but won't fall off the shoulders (thanks to the "non-skid" elastic inside). You'll have the chance for great shoes, too -- I'm 5'7" and this is long enough on me for killer heels. Now if I could find shoes as comfortable as the dress...

Stunning is the word my friend used to describe me in this dress. The search for a dress for my stepsons wedding, had a parade of dresses in varying sizes being shipped in and then returned. (LOVE NORDSTROMS SHIPPING POLICIES!) I brought this dress in both black and marina - both were lovely, but the blue is a favorite color of mine and it was a standout. Because of the nature of the dress - there isn't a lot of difference between sizes - it is form fitting but surprisingly super comfortable on. Expect to have it hemmed so add some leadtime to when you need it by. I am 5'10 wearing 3" heels and am having it shortened close to 2 inches - also having the little train removed. The train is really pretty, but I just don't want to deal with the hassle of worrying about it all night. The top of each sleeve has a silicone strip to keep the shoulder in place that also works well to hold bra straps in place, so no need for a strapless. Also buy a firmware undergarment because although the ruching is forgiving, there isn't ruching in places where lines would show. Overall - - this dress is spectacular.
