What a beautiful dress! All the other reviews were so right! It is a beautiful midnight blue and it is made to be slimming and flattering. I am a soloist and I bought this dress to wear for a concert. It will be perfect! If you are looking for a beautiful, elegant, unique dress, this is the one!

My step-daughter got married. 7-11 I ordered my dress, the Adrianna Papell One Shoulder Charmeuse Gown with Side Slit. I ordered in burgandy. Needed 1 size larger. No burgundy but Nordstrom sent me the new dress in Smoke. Had my entire outfit bought. Thank me for my procrastination as I hadn't yet gotten it hemmed when my step-daughter showed me her groom's step-mother's dress. The EXACT dress in same color, smoke. I ordered this dress, my 2nd choice due to the $100 difference in price. We met for the first time at the wedding. She'd ordered this dress and the Papell dress and chose the Papell. I was the hit smash at the wedding. This dress can be simply accessorized and you are guaranteed to be the belle of the ball. My tailor hemmed it so it just hit the top of my red patent leather peep-toed shoes. The front didn't catch on my shoes as I walked and the back was elegantly draping and brushing the floor. THIS DRESS LOOKS EVEN BETTER (IF YOU CAN BELIEVE IT) ON THAN IN THE PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE.

I am 65, tallish, still have a pretty good figure, and try to wear clothes that are NOT matronly but ARE age appropriate. This dress suits my height (5'7"), shape (4-6), and age bracket. The blue is a refreshing departure from black. It makes me feel as regal as Helen Mirren is.
