I ordered this gown for my daughter's outdoor wedding in October and I am keeping it! I did not want a sparkly ball gown, and this gown is sexy and dressy without being all sparkly. As the other reviewers said, it hides all imperfections. The material is clingy, but not TIGHT, but if you are bottom heavy, you will definitely need to wear Spanx. I am 60 yrs old, 5' 3",135 lbs. and I ordered the small. It will have to be shortened and I may or may not cut off the small train. It fits perfectly now-extremely comfortable-but, if I lose weight, I may return and order the xs. My husband didn't think much of it out of the box, but when on, he loved it! I love that it covers my upper arms, it will be fairly warm enough to wear outdoors, and it really is flattering. All I need is a pretty necklace or earrings to finish it off!

Three years later!!!

I bought this dress three years ago for my daughter's wedding and I can tell you that it has been worn to a multitude of functions since then and ALWAYS gets WONDERFUL compliments! I can roll it in a ball in my suitcase and when I take it out it is perfect! I am 5'7" and 140 and do wear Spanx with it. One tip....the back is longer than the front (beautiful flowing effect!) and because we dance I took six pieces of binding tape and hand tacked three sets #one above the other) of 10" satin binding to the back inside....this way when it was time to dance, I excuse myself, go to the restroom and tie up the satin strips to shorten the dress. This is what they do with wedding dresses! Just last week we were on a cruise and a few days following one of the formals two women stopped me and said that I was the one everyone was talking about.....who was wearing the beautiful dress! This dress will make you feel like a million bucks! The picture shown does not come near the beauty of the dress!

This dress is very flattering and worth the price. I was quite pleased with it when I received it, but regretfully I won't be keeping it. It fits me well in the hip area, but being smaller in the bust area, it's a bit big on top for me. Also, it's too long and would require alterations that I am not willing to do.

Proscomfortable, chic, flattering
This dress is understated and flattering--beautiful dress to wear to a black tie event. Very light material and travels well. Size down if you are between sizes--I'm 5'7" 125 and the XS fits perfectly. Also it's really long, so definitely keep in mind if you will not have time to get it hemmed.
