Rouge 01 is perfect. Buy it. I ordered 2 other colours that are much much worse in 1. Application or 2. Pigment. I bought melon d'or, it is a beautiful colour but it is very sheer and sits in the lines on my lips. I kept it because the colour is perfection. I sent back 10 beige nu because it is veeeery grey--I do not think anyone could wear it. I like goth makeup but this just looked bad. The application for beige nu was much more opaque and far superior to melon d'or, but not as good as rouge 01. I found all of them to be comfortable to wear.

I did not like the satin lipstick k finish I did love the matte. The red one did go on nicely

For generations, the women of my family have attested to the quality, luxury, and eloquence that Monsieur Saint Laurent had envisioned for his maison of his early days. His creations were nonetheless as chíc and glamorous then as they are presently— the tried and true YSL lipsticks are no different. If you don’t eat or drink anything— sure the pigmentation will last as bold and punchy upon application but let’s be realistic. Lipsticks need to be reapplied. They are excellent quality, the engraved personalisation add to what luxury should be and the array of colour selection is delightful! Buy 1 or 5! :)
