This is the most beautiful, creamy lipstick imaginable. There aren't enough words to describe how lovely it is, and the packaging is so luxe and beautiful, that it makes every application feel special. It doesn't wear as long as a matte lipstick, but makes up for that with incredibly pigmented color, that is just so comfortable to wear. YSL does makeup so well!
This color is highly reviewed and suggested for perfect brown/chocolate lip color in a beauty magazine. I'm fascinated by the brown fall/winter look so was so glad I could still order it online. And it does not disappoint! #53 is a dark choco brownish lip color that leans more on brown than mauve, perfect for fall/winter and just as the magazine says will look good on all skin tones. I have fair Asian skin and the color looks great on me, doesn't make me too vampy looking nor darken my complexion. It gives me an edgy and modern look.The quality is good too as it is very emollient and hydrating, glides on like a wonder and does not settle into my lip line. Perfect color in a tube!
I was a little hesitant about spending $34 on a lipstick, but I found so many reviews raving about this product, that I decided to give it a try. It's a beautiful package, and the product smells like roses. The lipstick goes on creamy with nice coverage. I purchased color #1, Le Rouge, as I wanted a classic red. It goes well with my fair skin color, and it wears nicely. It doesn't bleed or leave my lips feeling dry. I wore it for our Christmas party for the first time yesterday, and I look forward to dressing up my look for upcoming events with this wonderful lipstick!
I love this lipstick and am very impressed with the quality. I actually am a pretty avid lipstick buyer and usually only stick to MAC, but I ventured out and splurged on this lipstick and am quite impressed. It's moisturizing, yet has some staying power and the metallic sheen it has looks great for this holiday season. I had tried Chanel's lipstick a while back and it doesn't even come close to the quality of this lipstick. I wish it wasn't quite so expensive, but the case is very luxerious, and feels expensive. It cheers me up every time I pull it out of my purse!
