After many rejected candidates, this is my mother of bride dress for an outdoor wedding. The fabric is lightweight and a beautiful shade of eggplant, not too bright. Loose cut on the dress looks great solo and is really dressed up by the fitted but comfortable jacket with broach detail at the closure. I am 5' 8.5" and 150+ lbs; medium was almost ok, snug at arms on dress and waist a tad too short, ordered up to large and it fits perfect. If I could change anything - it's a synthetic fabric and static-y, not my preference. will have to use an anti static spray, but it wouldn't be the same dress in a different fabric. For me, since i'll be wearing it outside on (hopefully) a hot day with sandals and no hose, I'd prefer a bit longer skirt. All and all - comfortable and classy, so glad to have finally found a dress that feels dignified, yet feminine without feeling matronly.
I bought this for a wedding, but it can be worn for many various occasions! True to size unlike most of the others I ordered. They will be going back The style is very flattering!!
