I am normally a size 5 and I think Toms has made their sizes half a size bigger. It's a little sad because now the size 5s just don't fit. They fit ok at first and then you notice there's plenty of toe space left. Also, I think when they will stretch, the chances are that these might come flying off my foot.
The shoe itself is really cute. I like it in comparison to the original toms. I'd recommend this shoe, even though I can't wear them myself.

Well heard good things about these Toms. I was excited to receive them, opened the box, and they were WORN!! Not just tried on, but the sole was falling off, they were dirty and they smelled of smoke. I love shopping at Nordstrom...but this was a bad experience.
I am a true size 8, but ordered these in a 7.5 because Toms updated their shoe dimensions. And they fit perfectly! I would recommend buying these a half size down from your normal shoe size, because they stretch out. They were tight width wise at first when I wore them for the first time, but they have stretched out already and feel perfect. And length wise they are perfect!! A great slip-on shoe to wear anywhere. I have worn through three pairs of these burlap shoes over the past four years because I wear them so much! Cute and comfortable!

I live in Brooklyn and do A LOT of walking. These shoes are super comfy and very breathable during the hot summer months when I need a shoe with a little more substance than a sandal or a flip flop. I wear a 7.5 and ordered a 7.5. They do fit a little big, although they don't completely slip off. I would probably order a 7 the next time. The burlap look makes them slightly more dressy than the classic TOMS. With excessive walking, the heel has started to separate from the sole of the shoe, however I wear them almost daily and walk miles so I don't consider that "average wear" and wouldn't expect that to happen to someone who wears them less than I do. I would highly recommend these shoes, and will definitely be purchasing another pair!
