I had been eying these boots for weeks and finally decided to purchase them after my company received a Christmas bonus. It's a great purchase! I like how the zippers prevent you from having to unlace and untie the laces in order to take them off. It just takes a quick zip and unzip to take them on and off. The leather seems great so far. However I have only worn them a couple of times so far so I'm really hoping the quality will last!
I decided to purchase them on Nordstrom instead of the Steve Madden website because after reviewing the FAQ's for these boots, the Nordstrom associates seem very friendly, caring and helpful, while the SM associates are unhelpful and unclear. I was kind of iffy risking the purchase since I've seen some reviewers get defective products (like the zippers) but I'm comforted to know Nordstrom will help me out if so. So I took the risk! and so far so good! They look great on me!
I ordered various sizes and ended up returning the ones that didn't fit since I wasn't sure which size would fit me. I ended up getting size 7, which made sense when I thought about it - I am usually a size 6 in open toed shoes and size 7 in close toed shoes. I'm also a size 6.5 in Toms. So since I'm not a "true" size 7, 7 ended up being perfect and I didn't have to go a size up. But if you know your true size you may want to take other reviewers' advice and size up.

These are my 3rd pair. I have them in different colors. The first pair I purchased a few years ago was too narrow, and I have narrow feet. The newer ones I have fit perfect. They hold up very well and the leather is soft. Love them.

Great shoes, but wish they were sturdier!

I was in love with these boots for about a month. They're comfortable and go with nearly every casual outfit. But after wearing them repeatedly they just started falling apart, as in the heel of my boot became detached from the sole and the material on the outside did not wear well.
Maybe I was a little too hard on them, but for a hundred dollars I expected them to be sturdier. So if you want a really solid boot that lasts for more than one season, I would keep looking.
I bought these boots for my daughter for Christmas and she loves them.The price is not bad for what you are getting and the quality seems to be very good.Very happy with my purchase,Thank you.
