I adore these boots. I used to buy knock-off Troopa boots for a while, one pair after another because they wore out so quickly. Finally I took the chance, thinking it'd probably just be worth the money to buy a pair of actual Steve Maddens instead - boy, was I right. They're incredibly comfortable and beautiful; they go well with a t-shirt dress as well as a pair of skinnies and a classic rock shirt. My one and only issue is how obscenely easy they seem to scuff. I don't think I've ever owned a pair of leather shoes/boots that have collected scuffs so easily and quickly (and I'm not klutz, to put this into perspective). Other than that, these are 100% worth the purchase and then some. I typically wear a size 8-8.5, and an 8 fit perfectly (medium width, excellent length, etc.) - the black is lovely, and they've held up exceptionally (other than the many visible scuffs on the leather outer). Beautiful, comfortable, versatile boots.

boots are nice but it's not what I expected. The picture shows that the heel is wood not rubber. I will be returning them
