I've had black Troopa boots for two years and they were perfect from the first moment I put them on. I can wear them for 10 hours straight and they feel fantastic. They're substantial yet not heavy. And they're shaped like the human foot with just enough room for my feet to expand in the afternoon. they look fantastic with jeans, skirts and dresses! BUT...while they fit me perfectly in size 7 1/2, the new ones I just bought in the wine color are way too small in 7 1/2. Maybe the manufacturing quality is inconsistent because my shoe size hasn't changed. Unfortunately, I had to return them. When I tried to buy them in 8 1/2, Nordstrom was all sold out in the wine color. I'll try again in the future because they're worth it!
These are a must have. They go with anything, and are super comfortable. I also have them in brown. I would definitely go a half size smaller then what you normally are. The boots will wear in.
I love the style, leather, and look of the boot. However, they were too narrow for my feet. I don't normally require a wide boot, but I would need a wide in this style. Sadly, I have to return them.
I purchased a brown pair of the Steve Madden Tarnney boots 3 years ago which are a studded style very similar to the Troopa. These boots are nothing but comfortable and stylish and I knew that I would have to buy myself a new pair since I wore my brown ones so often! I'm so glad that I got a newer pair to go along with my old ones because these are great for walking around campus or for going out on the weekend. So versatile and cute.
