Everyday Favorites

Prosmy favorite
I'm a mom who stays home but wants to be taken seriously and these shoes always work for me. I can dress a simple outfit up with my VaNelis and a scarf. They add just enough color and sparkle. They are super comfortable so I can play with my kids, run errands, pick up the house or grab lunch on foot. Just lovely and simple, they are my everyday favorites. I have three pairs, three colors!

These are so soft and comfortable! And the color is perfect. I see the issue others have mentioned in the pieced-out sole - but all driving moccs have this!
Are you only supposed to drive in these? I worry these will as a result wear down fast but I plan to give it a try since they are so comfortable.

Dirty the 1st day worn.

Prosclassy but dirty
ConsMedium width
LOVE the shoe. Bought the white. As another reviewer mentioned....DRIVING MOCS do not have a regular, full sole....thus the toe and edges get dirty and wear out VERY quickly. These got dirty the very first day I wore them. Unfortunately, they're going back. I'm not going for another color in this driving moc. Looking for a regular loafer with regular sole. Too bad. Loved these.

Fun, versatile Driving Moc

Prosversatile, fun, fashionable, classic, cute, good value, comfortable
ConsMedium width
This shoe immediate caught my eye. First because I love the bright colors it comes in and second it's the Van Eli brand which offers shoes in hard to find widths. I have very narrow feet in 8 or 8 1/2 and it's challenging to find fashionable shoes in my size.
I chose the red because it's a punch of color but it's not too colorful. I'm 5'3" and petite and I have to be careful to choose things that actually look like I'M WEARING rather than vice-versa. My concern was if I chose another bright color, all people would see would be my shoes. Also I wear a lot of crop pants and pegged pants and I think less noticeable shoes like ballet slippers are best with these pant styles.
I would have preferred to buy this shoe in a 8.5 narrow but it was only available in 8M. I bought the fuchsia in 8.5 narrow for comparison.
I was delighted that the 8M felt very comfortable and has enough give so I can wear it right away.
The red is enough color to give these shoes some punch but not overwhelming. I also like the lizard texture. I don't usually like reptile patterns but on these shoes it provides some interest. The red is a darker red not super bright which I'm seeing on a lot of shoes but I don't particularly like.
One thing I'm not sure about is how much I can walk around in these without wearing out the leather. I learned the hard way that because driving mocs don't have a fully covered sole (why they're called "driving" mocs not walking mocs) the uncovered leather can wear out quickly. So I'll keep an eye on these and take it easy at first.
I'm looking forward to wearing these shoes a lot as the weather warms up. I may even get another pair in black or taupe.
