I have 2 more pairs of mephisto shoes, which I love, but this ones don't have the same quality of the old ones.I returned them. Plus they were very uncomfortable.

I previously used the Mephisto Nautica, but it was discontinued and replaced by the Hurikane, which is less substantial (one sole instead of a double and lighter) more like a bedroom slipper than a boat shoe. The leather's chestnut color on the uppers is more attractive, however. The shoe is not worth the increased price over the Nautica.

Hands down my favorite casual summer shoe, but... terribly terribly pricey. Does anyone have a better choice??
