I am going on 2 years using the Mia and YES it is worth every penny. I recommend it for everyone and it makes a great gift! I have combination skin- oily T-zone and would have very irritated dry patches on my cheeks. The Mia somehow magically keeps my skin calm and smooth.
I've used it with a variety of cleanser ranging from expensive department store brands (my favorite is the Shiseido White Lucent Cleansing Foam) to cheap drugstore brands. I prefer the foam of the expensive cleanser, but the Mia works well with practically anything. Just don't get cleansers with 'exfoliating beads'. I read that it might be a bit too rough when paired with the Mia.
I used the sensitive brush head that it comes with and have also tried the deep pore brush head. Both are good, but the deep pore is good for oilier skin. Whatever you put on your skin afterward- moisturizers/makeup does seem like it applies smoother and easier.
I didn't care for the fact that it takes 18 hours to charge. That means you can't necessarily use it religiously morning and night, as I usually do. But a few breaks between use of the Mia doesn't hurt me at all.
Recently I went on a 2 week trip and debated if I should bring the Mia with me (I like to pack light). I decided to and was glad I did! I didn't even need to bring the charger. It says it lasts about 20 minutes fully charged and it lasted pretty much the whole 2 weeks for me and I used it almost every morning and evening.
I always let the Mia fully discharge before charging it and always let it take the full 18 hours to charge. Also, always remove the brush from the device after using, especially if you use it in the shower. I was lazy and didn't remove it for a period of time and a lot of soap scum built up in the device where the brush attaches. It was really difficult to clean out after that.
My only other gripe would be that the replacement brushes are kind of pricey at the individual price of $25. You can buy 2 for $40 or 4 for $75 to get them cheaper, but I still feel like it's a lot of money to spend after already spending so much on the device itself. Overall, it's still worth it though.
The Mia is good for men too, my husband used it once a day for a bit (he has his own brush of course!) and he thought it was great.
I'm a believer in the Clarisonic devices so I want to get the Opal and Pedi systems next. If I could only have one device though, the Mia would definitely be it.
This product is an absolute must have. I purchased the Mia about 4 months ago. I have never really had problem skin, but would occasionally see a blemish or two. The Mia has given my skin an extra glow that I have never had. It is smooth and clear. When I do get my occasional blemish it goes away much more quickly. I don't use the cleanser just stuck with the aveeno I was using before. The Mia was working so well on my skin that my boyfriend noticed and went and bought his own! He has always struggled with blackheads on his nose and would get frequent facials to try and battle them. Since he has gotten the Mia, he has seen his blackheads literally disappear (no more expensive facials!!). He loved it so much that he bought one for his mom and sent it all the way to India for her!
I've been using the Clarisonic Mia for over a year now and I am hooked for life. I had pretty good skin before I started using the Clarisonic however my nose pores were ALWAYS clogged. I hated it because when I put makeup on you could literally see my clogged pores. I thought the only way to clean them was to pay for a facial and have the lady actually clear them out (which hurts btw). Then I heard about the Clarisonic. I could not believe how clean my face was after using!! And completely cleaned out my nose pores!! I absolutely swear by this product and will never use anything else to clean my face. Also, I use my Shiseido cleanser with the clarsonic and I have the most flawless skin. LOVE LOVE LOVE
I absolutely love the clarisonic Mia! After using it, it leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean! I used to have a problem with really dry skin, and dry patches which made it impossible to put on any kind of cover up since it would become all flaky.. But after using this just a few times I never had that problem again. At first I was really hesitant because of the price but it's definitely worth every penny!! Love love love.
