Really liked them, but I have a narrow foot and they run wide, so had to return them. They also run a bit small, normally I can wear an 8-1/2, but ordered the 9.
This sandal is the only brand my mom will wear. She loves them. My siblings and I have bought her several pairs. Let’s just say she’s well into her 60s with a bad back and the support in these help her.
I normally wear a 7 (Wide-ish) and my big toe is long, so I ordered an 8..so, worked perfectly for me! First, I’m back to order my THIRD pair! My first were “Red” which is an earthy color, almost a “Neutral” Red. I bought them in Maui in 2006...I wear them every summer (No, not EVERY day, but pretty frequently) and they are STILL going strong! I’m retired, so I LIVE in sandals, 2 pair of these, and 2 pair of Clark’s; I can’t say enough good about both brands! As far as the OluKai (Paniolo is the word for “Cowboy, & yes, there are cowboys in Hawaii!) I am ESPECIALLY fond of these because the stitching on the footbed gives the soles of your feet a constant massage...which I LOVE...all day long! When I FIRST bought them, I thought...oh, my...is this leather going to hold up? I’m rather rough on footwear! I needn’t have worried! Living at the coast I’m constantly at the beach, poolside, shopping, doctor appointments...I have a busy life! And these sandals, unlike many others, can go from being wet or damp at beach or poolside right on to wherever your life takes you, without missing a beat! They always seem to look nice, and for “Flip flops” ...well...dare I say it? Almost “Dressy”? I think it’s the fine leather that is used in the manufacturing of the shoe...and someone is bound to notice that BEAUTIFUL embroidered footbed! I make sure I’m wearing these when we gave outdoor BBQs, when I’m on my feet, in addition to the support, there’s that added massaging ...oh! Makes your entire body feel good...and once you are over 65, if the shoes can help, I say, “TRY IT1”. I hope you love them as much as I do!1
