I love this product. I have very red skin, and this is great with or without foundation. Like many posters, however, I am disappointed that it no longer includes a brush. When I first started purchasing it, the brush fit within the compact - this was idea. Then it came in a smaller compact with the brush outside - can't take it in your purse. I just got a new one, and there was no brush at all. Personally I would pay a little more if I could get the compact where the brush fit inside. Maybe they could offer that as an option.
I love this 'yellow powder". It works nicely to blend my slightly red nose in with the rest of my face. It's sheer, not heavy and is just enough to make a difference. Cliniqe used to make this in a loose powder form and I lament that it is no longer available. The loose powder was much better for travel, as one could shake a small amount into a travel-sized container instead of taking the entire large compact.
As a long time user of Clinique products, I was thrilled that they offered a compact version of their redness solutions powder (which had previously been a loose powder). Unfortunately, if you are accustomed to the quality in packaging of Clinique, don't expect that quality for this product. While the powder may work, it does NOT include an applicator brush or pad so applying it is up to your own means. Can you apply it wet? Or dry? IDK because Clinique didn't include an applicator that would give you any idea (powder puff for dry, sponge for wet). Additionally, if you are accustomed to the chrome outside of Clinique's compacts coming with a protective peel off skin - and also coming with a protective sheet inside over the powder, grow unaccustomed. After returning this product once because I thought it had arrived used, and after reading additional reviews on Clinique.com, I realized that this compact is bare bones. No protective skin over the chrome, no protective sheet over the powder, no applicator included = no way it's going to work as a portable solution. While I may use it in the morning at home, I'll have to find another product to carry with me throughout the day.
Ordered this mineral powder because talc based powders irritate and dry my skin. It is very sheer. Tried it over basic moisturizer alone but it provided little coverage. Will have to try over foundation or tinted moisturizer to assess full potential.
