This decadent, delicious smelling body wash is my go to beauty splurge for Fall. The scent lingers in your shower as well as on your skin for a long time. I love it!

Proslightly scented, like perfume
I just can't get enough of this scent! Beautiful! I find scented lotions to be only about the scent, with none of the lotion properties. Creams do a bit better; but I tend to appreciate the scented body wash most. Having said that, many of the body washes tend also to be all about the perfume scent with little content otherwise. But this one not only smells as great as Opium always does, but it is a product that lathers richly and is not hard on my dry, sensitive skin! Just a great product!

YSL OPIUM HAS BEEN MY ONLY FRAGRANCE SINCE 1968. Beginning with this luscious shower gel, then the body cream and parfum. IN RECENT YEARS THE CONSISTENCY OF THE BODY CREAM, AND THE FORMULATION OF THE PARFUM HAVE CHANGED. THE ONLY PRODUCT THAT HAS STAYED TRUE TO FORM HAS BEEN THE SHOWER GEL. AND I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO FIND IT ANYWHERE BUT AT NORDSTROM.
For many women, Opium will be a love it or hate it fragrance. For me it is love, in line with my love of spicy/woody/warm fragrances. Luxurious lather in a bottle! The shower gel's scent is softer and a bit more floral and sweeter (although not cloy at all) than the fragrance, and a little gel on a washcloth or shower mitt goes a long way. I also use Opium shower gel as a layering fragrance with other fragrances, including Chanel No. 19 Poudre, blends beautifully.
