This is my favorite foundation. I am over 60 and look for a foundation that does not dry your skin out but adds moisture. Chanel foundation gives you that simply flawless skin. However, it does tend to oxidize a bit.
I really wanted to love this foundation. It worked perfectly when I first applied. Does a good job for oil control and minimize pores. SPF is a big plus. It gave me a natural look “like my skin but better”. However, this oxidize after a few hours. It was obvious that my face looks darker than my neck and everywhere else not covered by summer clothing. I already bought the lightest shade (10) so there’s no lighter shade for me to exchange to. Unfortunately, this has to be returned.
I’ve adopted a less-is-more approach to makeup as I’ve gotten older, primarily because heavier foundation and powders looks unnatural and cake-y after a few hours. This foundation offers coverage without the weight and without a matte or dull finish. It’s easy to apply with your fingertips and doesn’t need to be touched up during the day.
