Super Squeaky - both pairs

Prossqueaky, nice looking
My local store doesn't stock my size so I ordered Chili in 14D and received them about 3 days later. The look was awesome but the squeaking just got me embarrassing looks at work. I called AE Customer Service to see if they could suggest something, but they just said to return them for evaluation. Well, I returned them to the local Nordstrom store and reordered another pair in same size and color. The second pair arrived at my house this evening and within 15 minutes of walking around (on carpet) they were squeaking loudly. To make matters worse the eyelets on the right shoe were not in alignment and thus made the lacing look crooked. Why they didn't end up as a pair of seconds is beyond me. Anyhow, I'll be returning this pair and looking for another brand in the future....bummer as I love the look, but the quality just isn't there.

Poor Quality Control

Today I received my 2nd pair of Lasalles within 2 weeks and am very disappointed. I tried on a pair in the store but the only color available was chili. I needed a black pair so the sales associate ordered a pair for me. The 1st pair arrived a week ago and had a crease in the leather. I returned them to the store where the associate was very kind and apologetic. He gladly order me another pair which arrived today. Upon inspection, the stitching ran off the shoe around the toe. In addition to an obvious cosmetic flaw it is the stitching that holds the upper to the sole and will eventually separate. Allen Edmonds is a well respected name in men's footwear but I expect more for the price. Both of these pairs should be considered as seconds.

Quality and Nice Look

Prosmen's dress shoe
A great quality shoe with a bit of a modern look. I am very happy with the purchase. I have had the brown pair for years and they have held up well. I have had them reconditioned though Allen Edmunds and they look like new. The black pair that I purchased look great and fit well.
This is a must have shoe for every man's wardrobe. Its design is simple yet refined for a classic, elevated piece of footwear whose excellent construction and durability is felt when wearing. The subtle details in the leather make each shoe unique, and it's warm, rich chili/cognac color is sure to catch eyes while schlepping through city streets. Perhaps the best thing about these great shoes is that they effortlessly complete any look - from jeans and an unstructured blazer to a classic well-fitting navy wool suit. Sure to last for years to come and made in the USA, this is a true men's dress shoe. Added to all this was the impeccable customer service I received at Nordstrom for an overall excellent experience.
