Prosmodern classic
These LaSalles in chili color had no discernible flaws coming out of the box. They are handsome and exude quality. Reading previous reviews, I was a bit concerned that they may run a bit narrow, but I ordered my usual size (12D) and turned out to be very happy with the fit. They were comfortable out of the box and after a day of wear, although there is one spot on one foot where I sometimes have problems with shoes, ski boots, etc. rubbing a bony area at the top of my instep. These shoes will take more than a day to break in completely, and I expect this slight discomfort won't be a problem once the thick leather softens and conforms better to that part of my foot, as it was already getting better after a day of wear. Otherwise, these fit fit comfortably immediately. Bonus points for the high quality calf skin that is thick and firm. I can tell these will hold their shape and not turn into "hobo shoes" for many years, as shoes softer, thinner leathers so often do.
As some reviewers have mentioned, they were "squeaky" at first. After 2-3 of hours of wear, the noise subsided dramatically without any lotion, conditioning or polish. I've only worn them one day, so far, but I received several compliments and am very happy with the purchase, particularly at the half-yearly sales price. These shoes compliment a range of outfits and colors and are built to last. When I eventually have them re-soled in a couple of years, I may opt for rubber half soles so I can wear them more frequently and for longer periods outdoors (it's rainy here in Seattle!)

This was my first Allan Edmonds and I can say that I am a new fan. I typically need to replace my dress shoes after 12 to 18 months. But after a year of wearing, these are just as comfortable as before and also looking new.

Shoes felt right immediately. Usual size run a bit big. So ordered 1/2 size smaller. Good quality and comfortable.

Only the second time in my life I've treated myself to the quality of this brand. Finish, fit, are worth it. My last pair lasted for years.
