Love the look of this shoe, with its classic weave, this loafer offers throwback style that still works today.

I was a bit unsure about purchasing this sure because I was unsure about the style and how I would work this into my wardrobe. I was using this shoe to compliment another pair of chili colored shoes that I have for about 12 years (split toe/lace up). Once I slipped these on, I was sold! Comfortable and attractive, I am very satisfied with my Carlsbad penny loafers in chili. The first day I wore them I walked 15 city blocks in them and not even one bit of discomfort. Stylish, I have worn these with a suit as well as casually with a pair of gabardine slacks and a short sleeve silk shirt. They would also look good with khacki's as well as jeans. Overall I am very happy with my purchase of the Carlsbad Penny Loafers, Allen Edmonds you've done it again!!

A great shoe style, class, comfort

The Carlsbad is my third pair of AE. I purchased them in walnut late last spring to wear with the tans and muted tones in my summer wardrobe. I was concerned by the lightness of the color but after a few polishings they darkened nicely and held a great shine. The fit is very comfortable. I wore them for work and often had them on for 10 - 12 hour periods without issue. A great shoe with lots of style, class and quality.

Stuck on Allen Edmonds

A number of years ago I took a step up in shoes and opted for a pair of Allen Edmonds. It was similar to this pair only it has tassels included. I have had them re-crafted once and when I needed a set of replacement black shoes for my Johnston and Murphy’s I got the identical version in black. They build a heck of a shoe. Dan
