Let me start with saying that I never leave reviews. Like, ever. Yet, as I shelled out a good $310 on this, I figured this warranted a review.
This scent is amazing. Obviously. It smells like summertime in some Italian coastal town. Youthful and bright, yet sophisticated. It has taken me YEARS to find a personal signature scent such as this, and I was delighted to come across it. Spraying this stuff is the highlight of my morning.
Yet, that's where it ends. Two hours later, no hint of Neroli Portofino can be scented - and I spray a LOT. I may as well have just purchased a cheap drugstore perfume to carry in my bag with me to spray periodically throughout the day - at least I'd be saving a s*** ton of money while smelling like SOMETHING.
The frustrating part is not only the lack of scent longevity for the price, but also that this disappearing act still takes place AFTER layering this perfume with the Neroli Portofino body oil. I shouldn't have to purchase each item in a line just to get a scent to last longer than an hour tops.
Tom Ford needs to revise this formula - absolutely not what I expect to see from a prestige fragrance house such as this. Shame on you.
There’s nothing that I don’t absolutely love about this perfume. On me, it has serious staying power. I didn’t spray any on yesterday, and I still subtly could smell it. The scent mellows our quite nicely after 4-5 hours of wear, but it’s still definitely there.
