I have used Clinique Clarifying Lotion for years. Recently, I was caught without it on a trip and had to purchase a substitute by a different brand. There is no substitute! It really removes those last traces of make-up and environmental grime.
I’ve purchased and used many toners throughout the years from drugstore to department and this is one of the only ones where I saw a noticeable difference in my skin after usage. As I’ve gotten older, I’m 39, my pores appear larger in my tzone but more dehydrated in other places (flakiness around nose and smile lines more noticeable:( I initially tried a sample of this toner in 2 but felt that to be too harsh and alcohol-y. I ordered this and it does everything it’s supposed to! Clears any remaining residue off the face, de-flakes, makes everything smooth and even toned, and the area around my nose is less red. My skin feels primed to absorb serums and ready for makeup. It’s also gentle, no irritation what so ever! I’ve been so impressed in fact, I went onto purchase the cleanser and lotion in the three step program. Sometimes you just gotta go back to the basics, I’ve learned:)
