Beautiful shoe, not comfortable
PostedNovember 18, 2013
Prospretty, uncomfortable, flimsy, slippery, attractive
I was looking for something stylish and comfortable that could serve double duty at the office and for running around town in jeans. I know, that's a lot to ask of a flat. And perhaps my expectations were too high. I contemplated some other (less expensive) brand's styles, but the beauty of all of Tory's flats is that you really can wear them with pretty much everything. So I decided to splurge on these. I've had the Reva flats before and after I broke them in (which took a couple weeks), they were fairly comfortable. But the sales person talked me into these because they're "way more comfortable" (ha!), and I was happy to try something a little different (seems like EVERYBODY has the Revas).
As another reviewer mentioned, the logo imprint in the heel of the shoe is painful. It really is. So I bought an insert, which made it much better. And as most other reviewers mentioned, these shoes need to be broken in. When I first got them, they rubbed in all the wrong places (the of my heel, the sides of my toes). So I wore them non-stop for two weeks and they've stopped rubbing, for the most part.
But these are my issues with them now that they've been broken in (about three weeks after purchasing them, wearing them almost every day)...
I'm really disappointed in how flimsy these flats are. Absolutely zero support. I wasn't expecting a lot of support, but at least the Reva's have more of a barrier between your foot and the ground... In these, it feels like I'm walking on rocks. And there's NO traction on the bottom of them at all, so I've been slipping all over the place. I slipped on dry concrete getting into my car last night (and I'm not usually an overly clumsy person).
So, to recap, they look nice, they're more original (as in, not EVERYONE has them) than the Revas, they're versatile... BUT they take a lot of breaking in and even after that they offer no support and are flimsy and slippery. Meh.

Cute but not too comfy
PostedNovember 18, 2013
Proscute and light
ConsMedium width
These flats are cute and very light. But its not as comfy as the Reva. It has a slight bite on the toes. Although I'm not sure if it would have been better if I have ordered a size bigger. Its just that the first few minutes of wearing it feels comfy, but after a while, you feel the bite on the small toes.

These are much more comfy than the Reva's!

The color is gorgeous and overall a good looking flat. I have wide feet and also own a pair of the Reva's. The Reva's took a longgg time to break in, besides rubbing a little on the back heel, these are much more comfortable flats.
I would also recommend going with your normal size, I know most TB's run slightly small, but I originally ordered a 10 and had to return for a 9.5 (my normal size).

Terrible Shoes!!!
PostedNovember 17, 2013
Prosterrible
ConsMedium width
I got the Caroline in black, pink (the neutral looking color), and the white with navy trim. I had to exchange the black pair within months of having them because the soles were falling apart. Then, the new pair I got, I had to return those also because the soles were falling apart, yet again. They are REALLY uncomfortable after wearing them for any amount of time walking. I don't have the kind of job where I'm on my feet a lot, actually mostly sitting at a desk, and my feet would be hurting at the end of the day. The little toe on my right foot has a huge bump on it from these shoes (I hope it goes away). The sales lady at Nordies said she doesn't like them either. She also said many ladies return TB shoes after a very short time (like a week) because they start falling apart. After some research, I went to TB's Facebook page, to read more reviews. EVERYONE was complaining about terrible products, posting pics of shoes falling apart and purses with straps fraying, not to mention very bad customer service. I will NEVER buy another pair of TB shoes, and will strongly consider any future purse purchases.
