Run small and narrow

While I have a few other pairs of Frye Carson flats from previous incarnations of about three years ago, I was disappointed to get these shoes in my regular size and find them too small. They were both too short and too narrow. They rubbed and hurt in so many places that I had to order them one half size larger. That solved all of the fit problems without them being so large that they rubbed at the heel. I have had this problem with Frye boots as well---where the toe box was simply too small to accommodate my foot in any way. With the boots, I have found that the Made in USA boots fit in my regular size with no issues at all. These shoes were not made in the USA and, had I known that, I would have sized up to start with. Frye used to pride itself on being made in the USA. Their items made in other countries are simply cut differently, generally smaller.

2nd pair

This is my second pair of Carson flats. They are my go to for comfort. I had my last pair re soled twice and finally replaced them after many years of use. These fit just like my last pair and I wore them all day with no issues.
