Ordered this for my daughter. Size six was true to size. She is 5'4" and was perfect length - not too short and not long at all. Shows curves and hides bumps. Looks just as good as the picture! Love It!

I just bought this dress for a black tie event and I can't wait to wear it! My boyfriend was disappointed with the first dress I bought (one shoulder, short black ruffled dress, very current, but not his style) so I dragged him to the store with me. I had a Sue Wong short style dress in mind, and hadn't even considered a long gown because I always feel they make me look short and chubby. I picked up a Sue Wong, and two other short style dresses with beading, but my eye caught this gown, and I said what the heck.
I tried this one on first and we both loved it instantly. I'm in between a 6 and an 8, 5'6 and 34C and the 6 fit me perfectly. I tried on the other dresses too, but they looked flashy and garish compared to the sophistication of this gown, and we both left happy. Absolutely perfect!
I have a very ilght weight lace jacket with rhinestone buttons to wear with it.
However, it would look much better with a little lace bolero for coverage during the wedding service.
The fabric is soft, light weight, slightly silky, and expensive looking. The ruffles lay beautifully and the dress moves with you in a soft and lovely way. It's so hard to explain!
It would be very comfortable to wear to any event in hot weather, which is the reason I purchased it. We were expecting 80 - 100 degree weather.
Unfortunately I did not wear the dress. I ordered it on line. It arrived on time but a bit too late to return for a smaller size.
I'd recommend ordering 1 - 2 sizes smaller. It fit like a 10 - 12 rather than a size 8 and is a bit long in length, even with heels. So if you are not 5'7" or taller or aren't wearing platforms this dress will be a bit too long without altering.
Hem Alterations could be a problem.
With that said: I would still recommend this dress. Why, because it is really very pretty. The fabric is amazing and they way it moves is to die for! It is elegant, refined, sexy without being obtrusive, and has the capacity to make anyone look graceful and elegant while wearing it!
Yes, I was very upset it was too big. But I'm not going to say don't buy it. It's awesome, slimming, and great fabric for hot weather. A definite buy, just buy 1 - 2 sizes smaller.
Sad I couldn't wear it.
I need to return it just haven't had the heart to return it.

I love this dress. It's a black dress, but with some flair. I want it for my Mother of the Bride dress this fall, and I think if I can get the right size, it will be a great dress. I tried the 2 and I could barely get it zipped, it was too tight through the hips, waist and bust. I usually wear a 2 or 4, almost never a six, but I ordered the 6 because the 2 was so small. The six fits pretty good everywhere but the bust, which is too big. I'm a 34C, and I will have to have this altered if I can't get a 4. (The 4 is on backorder.) It's also a little too long, so it will have to be hemmed. I loved the length of the 2. Bottom line: if you can get this dress in the right size to fit you, it's amazing and will probably hide some figure flaws.
