I tried on dozens and dozens of wedding gowns, from J. Crew to Yves Saint Laurent. I tried this gown on and I was instantly in love. It has a beautiful old Hollywood glam feel to it.
There is definitely an interior bodice, though I wouldn't call it a corset; more like a built in bra. The silk fabric is matte, but I don't think it looks cheap, it just doesn't look shiny, and for pictures, that's a good thing. I was able to wear spanx underneath without it showing through.
The dress does run large for wedding gowns; I usually wear an 8 or a 10, and the size 8 fit well. The alterations included sewing in bra cups, hem and bustle. Otherwise, there were no alterations needed to the body of the dress. The dress did wrinkle a bit at the waist, and a few times I needed someone help me unzip, pull the dress up, and readjust.
The dress needs to be steamed thoroughly to get the fullness at the bottom. Once bustled, it's absolutely gorgeous.
I styled the dress with a Kate Spade bauble pearl necklace and Dolce and Gabbana hot pink platform heels, which I also purchased at Nordstrom. Because the dress is so simple, you can really go all out with the accessories.

I absolutely love this dress! It is GORGEOUS on and just really accentuates any and all curves! the material if you read the info is a cotton/silk blend which really lets it breathe and is just a really nice material. Tried on the 2 because i am typically that size and i was swimming in it.. I am 5'2" 110lbs 32d and it looked fabulous on me cannot wait to order my size 0!

Gorgeous dress-stunning in its simplicity! Beautiful seaming and fabric. This gown has a very slim fit; I have a small frame without a large bust, so fits nicely. Anyone with more curves may have difficulty with this dress.

I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it online and ordered it for my wedding dress. I am a size 0, and the 0 fit true to size. While I love this dress and thought the train was amazing, I ended up retruning it. The dress is so thin that I was not able to find any undergarments (including Spanx) that did not show through. The dress needed bra cups added also because it does not have them already and a bra or bustier shows through. Additionally, the dress does not have any boning, so the weight of the fabric makes it wrinkle at the waist and hips. The skirt also is not as full as it is in the picture online. These problems created a very large alteration bill. As a result, I chose not to keep the dress. It is gorgeous on, and I love it more than the dress I ordered, but major reconstruction including creating a new lining, adding boning, and adding fullness would make the dress cost more than it was worth. I knew I would have to take the waist in a little and have it hemmed, but the other necessary work was very unexpected. I hope everyone else who bought it has better luck because it is a beautiful dress with a ton of potential.
