I wasn't intending to buy an expensive cleanser but while shopping at Nordstrom's cosmetic counters and having color swatches all over my wrist, the SA gave me a cotton pad with this cleanser on it to remove the swatches. It took most of the colors off with one swipe and felt so clean, not leaving a residue even though I wasn't using water to rinse (but I do recommend rinsing). I am finishing my first bottle and it has lasted months, doesn't dry out my combination skin and it is gentle enough to wash makeup residues around my eyes with abolutely no stinging or irritation. I already have my second bottle ready as a back up and I rarely buy the same product again because there are just too many new things to try but I really like this.

I originally bought a bottle of "Flawless Skin" Cleanser, because I loved the name and there's a little wishful thinking going on in your head.... if only it could be me with flawless skin and not just the cosmetic girls selling you as much product as they can. I didn't realize what a difference the Laura Mercier Flawless Skin really made until I made the mistake of buying a HUGE bottle of Philosophy's "Purity" skin cleanser at last years Anniversary Sale. There is nothing wrong with "Purity"- it's a good product, too--- but there's really something special about Laura Mercier's product. I use mine with a Clairasonic and will never be without it again. I just need to use a bit more of my huge bottle of Purity before I can justify buying another cleanser

I finally got this cleanser after about a year of using Lancôme's foaming face wash, I originally wanted this one but they were always out of stock. This stuff is ahhhmazing! Non-stripping. My skin doesn't feel tight or dry. My blemishes are all gone. I definitely recommend this product! It takes all of my high end makeup off in just two pumps. I have dry/sensitive skin if that helps anyone. I know I'm always reading reviews for skin types!

I remove my mascara with a product designed especially for that purpose and then wash my face with the foaming cleanser. I haven't yet tried to use it to remove mascara, but the cleanser makes my face feel clean but not stripped or dry.
