Before discovering TAOS, I shaved with Gillette Fusion gel and a multi-blade cartridge. Never again. After years of ingrown neck hairs and break-outs, the Master Barber suggested a safety razor and the lavender shave kit. I've been using TAOS products now for over a year and would not use anything else. From prep to post shave, the products have helped my skin drastically.

After years of using supermarket shaving products, I recently walked into a store while on vacation in Las Vegas. The friendly staff was helpful and sold me on the full size lavender kit. Being in the military I am required to shave on a daily basis, and I truly used to hate shaving with a passion. After a month or so of using the kit, I can say that shaving is now the thing I look forward to the most in my daily routine.
The only regret I have is not purchasing this sooner and possibly saving years of damage, nicks and cuts that I put my face through. Believe the hype, this product is worth it. I will never go back to shaving out of a can and splashing a whole bunch of alcohol on my face afterwards. Thumbs up!

I tried a travel size kit of this product and was really happy with it. I went back and bought the full kit, along with a silvertip brush and a safety razor (Merkur Futur - available in the store).
I like the whole ritual, and I can appreciate the quality. The oil prepares the skin and gives me a chance to do a brief face massage. The brush and cream lather up well. I shave my whole face once, then re-wet and re-lather, then shave again. The second pass really makes a difference. I like to use witch hazel after shaving, followed by an alum block to tighten the skin. I then use the aftershave balm to moisturize.
After years of the mundane, my shaving ritual has become really enjoyable. I get rewarded for taking a few moments to care about my face. And it really does not take that much longer than shaving from a can. The lavender is a really clean and refreshing scent and treats my sensitive skin well. While TAOS products may be priced higher than some others, you can definitely tell the ingredients are of very high quality.

I've always been a budget shaver. If a product was on sale, it was for me. All this changed when I received a Full Size Lavender Kit for my birthday. I followed the instructions to the letter and had a close, smooth, and an irritation free shave. I have NEVER had a shave like this in my life. After this shave, I realized that I really knew nothing about shaving at all. The product you use does matter. I also used the kit to shave my head...WOW! Smooth, Soft, and Clean. It's worth every penny!
