Nice Shaving kit

the skin under my chin usually gets irritated and bumpy, and everytime I shaved I was getting knicks and cuts. After using this set, I immediately noticed the difference. No more red, bumpy, irritated skin. Before using this, I was just using regular shaving cream and razor. The extra steps of softening and after shave makes a difference. I checked out other brands and the price for The Art of Shaving was pretty reasonable I will be definitely buying in the future. I recommend this for guys who also want to maintain soft skin.

Great Shave System

The Art of Shaving full size kit offers a great shave. The kit is unscented but everything smells great and leaves no odor behind. The system gives a far better shave experience than typical shave creams, gels, or soap. Before using this product I would wet shave using shave soap and a brush and this was a great improvement. My razor glides far easier than before and my skin feels softer and less irritated. I use a Merkur Futur razor with Shark blades.

I knew I was in for it when my kit arrived in a well designed box, neatly showcasing each step of my new shaving process. Up to this point, I had thought I was somewhat advanced; only using the finest Gillette Fusion blades and shave gel. I shave my head, neck and cheeks in the shower with relative ease and speed, but I had been getting tired of razor burn on my neck. A friend once told me "Never cheap out of things that touch your skin." This prompted me to go all in on the Art of Shaving Kit.
After reading the extremely easy steps in the manual, I applied the pre-shave gel. The unscented version does have a scent, but it's not offensive. It gives a smooth oily feel. Next I lathered the Badger brush (which in itself makes you feel like you're back in yesteryear) and applied the cream. Honestly at this point I felt all of this was for show, but once I started actually shaving, everything was slick and smooth! In fact, after I finished, my face still felt lathered. It all rinsed away without residue, and lo and behold, I had my closest shave ever!
The final step of after-shave cream didn't burn or leave me feeling greasy and best of all, no razor burn. I don't see how I could possibly go back to the old way after using this kit.

So my first use of this shave kit was a bit out of my routine. I typically shave after I shower, but decided to try it beforehand. I felt like the oil kept my skin moist and my favorite thing was how little of the shave cream was needed to cover my face. The brush was soft, easy to clean and spread the cream well with little waste. The after shave balm kept my face smooth and I experienced a knick free shave. So far, I do like the kit.
