This product is really the art in shaving I have sensitive skin I don't use razor well didn't use razor. This product is very good. The prep oil puts ur skin nice and cool.the unscented shaving cream is the best. it has This very lite smell and smells smoothing and it gets u ready for that shave. That blade just glides through ur skin i was afraid to finish but i did and it felt good clean shave smooth as a baby. Oooo hold on the brush.I almost feel a sleep rubbing it on my skin it felt like therapy. The after shave balm it soo smoothing i felt like a new man. THE ART OF SHAVING they are the monalissa of shaving. This product i very very good no bumps and still smooth skin like a baby NOT THIS TIME RAZOR .

after balm!!

Thanks to buzz i got to try the art of shaving. I got sent a full size kit to try out and keep. I have never tryed this before. It comes with a oil, a cream, a brush, and a after shave balm. I really liked this i have a lot of hair on my face. And after i shave it stays dry and itchy but with the kit its different. My favorite of all is the balm after shave leaves my skin very soft and looking nice through out the day.

Happy with the product and I have not had this good of a shave since I stopped using a double edge many years ago. Shaving is more of a celebration now. Thinking of getting the kits for my sons on their birthday.

Received The 4 Elements of a Perfect Shave kit, FREE from The Art of Shaving® the other day and have tried it twice - once at the sink and once in the shower. The kit includes pre-shave oil, shaving cream, a shaving brush and after-shave balm. As someone who doesn't have a regular shaving regimen, I was looking forward to trying this set.
The kit comes in a very sophisticated, masculine box, and the smell (though the items come "unscented") was very woodsy. I would have preferred a scent though for the pre-shave oil (which is supposed to soften the beard and improve razor glide) as it smelled like tar and was pretty thick and sticky on my skin, even in the shower. I could probably do without the pre-shave oil.
The shaving cream was very light and silky, and a little bit really does go a long way; just put a tiny amount on the wet shaving brush and work across your face for a very rich lather. The cream does not froth up like regular shaving cream, so it is much easier to get a close shave without a lot of drag. You could probably apply the cream by hand, but the badger hair brush really does work up a great lather and feels very use.
The after-shave balm was different than I expected. Most aftershaves have alcohol and a heavy scent. The Art of Shaving balm was much more soothing without a sting or harsh smell, and it moisturizes my raw skin quite well.
Though I will probably skip the sticky, stinky pre-shave oil from now on, I look forward to making these products part of my morning routine. This is a very sophisticated, pampered experience and I would recommend this as a gift (or gift yourself) for the more refined man who doesn't have daily routines but rather enjoys daily experiences.
