I have been using shave gel and after shave for sensitive skin from Nivea forever, I thought it was good. I saw the reviews of these products and decided to give them a try. It was a night and day difference, I have never had such a close shave, and my blade was pretty dull when I shaved. Very happy with the purchase, I would recommend to everyone.

When I tried The Art of Shaving for the first time, this is the kit that I bought. I have to admit that I was skeptical of the pre-shave oil as an unnecessary step and product but decided to give it a shot anyway. I shave my head, so the pre-shave oil really helped add a layer of moisture and protection when paired with the shaving cream. I was amazed at how close of a shave you can get! I don't think I can ever go back to typical shaving cream after experiencing The Art of Shaving products. I haven't tried the scented products (since I have sensitive skin), but the unscented ones work nicely. The after-shave balm is alright, but there is something in it that irritates my skin. I am not sure why, so I don't use that as much. I use another type of unscented lotion instead to moisturize my head afterward. If this set is too expensive, at least try the pre-shave oil and shaving cream. Worth every penny! Your skin will agree.
