I love the brush and the shaving cream that came with the kit. It helped me get a close soft shave. I did not care for the after shave balm due to my sensitive skin my skin felt dry after doing the whole kit. Overall I would recommend the kit but if you can get the shaving cream and brush separate just do that.

not what i thought the art of shaving

I did not care for the art of shaving full size kit. I used a new raiser just to make sure I was testing it in the best way I could. I like my razers. but this time I cut my face a few times. it felt almost like I was shaving with a slippery shave cream. I shave sometimes 2 times a day and was hoping I would love this.

I have seen "The Art of Shaving" around the internet for a few years now and have always been intrigued by the brand but never ordered any products because of the price tag. When I was given the chance to try out a full size kit I was stoked! The products are good sized and the packaging is sleek and classic. They look great on my bathroom counter. I got such a clean, smooth shave with this great products!

The Art Of Shaving Full Size Kit Excellence

I only thought I was shaving good before trying this. I applied the pre shaving oil, it is quite slippery. I wasn't sure exactly what that would do, but I did as the instructions said. I then got out the shaving brush and proceeded to lather up. The brush is very soft as it is real badger hair. It didn't seem to lose any bristles on my face as my old brush always did. The shaving lather goes on nice and thick. A little goes a long way. Once I was all lathered up, I could actually see that all my hairs on my face were standing on end and ready to get shaved off. It was time for my razor. I quickly found out what the pre shave oil was for. My blade glided across my skin as it never had before. The hairs washed right out from the razor blades and didn't clog it at all. The lather actually thickened as my wet razor stroked across my face. It was a shaving experience better than I have ever had. Once I was all done and rinsed my face, I could easily see that I had a very close and smooth shave. I applied the after shave balm and it left my skin feeling so soft and well soothed. I would definately not want to go back to the stuff I find in local stores after trying this. It makes you look forward to shaving instead of seeing it as a dreaded chore. When concidering the price, I would have to say that its not that much in the long run because a little goes a long way when it comes to this product. When concidering how long this will last as compared to buying individual products for that amount of time, I would think you might actually save money and have better quality.
