[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received The Art of Shaving Unscented Full size kit from The Art of Shaving company for free to try. Let me say it was the perfect early father's day gift. It comes in an easy to open and use box, the directions are easy to understand (alright shaving isn't a hard task)! The four steps are easy to follow. The Unscented everything felt good on my skin and didn't irritate it. The smell was nearly non-existant and it didn't smell bad. (Some Unscented things smell funky) Anyway, I tried it all and I really enjoyed it. The product left my skin feeling smooth and stubble-free. The brush was soft and made putting the shaving cream on more enjoyable and easy, got right down to the skin. The only thing I didn't quite enjoy so much is the fact that it is 4 steps and it does take a little more time but the brush took me back to when I would watch my father shave so although it was time consuming, trip down memory lane makes it worth it. My son even came to watch me do it and we put some of the shaving cream on his face which he thoroughly enjoyed, the reason I include this bit of information is because my son has eczema and is allergic to nearly everything and his skin was able to tolerate it without a single itch or area of redness. This is an important aspect of products in our home because we try to keep out anything that irritates his skin. Anyhow, try it out, you'll love it like we did and still do! I will be purchasing more when this kit runs out. (My wife even used one of the sample packets on her legs and she really liked it as well!)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I shave only once a week because of razor bumps. I've tried this product and attempted 2 shaves in one week and what a difference on my skin. No razor bumps and it feels like a real professional shave. My skin feels really smooth and my wife loves it. I will continue to use this product and I'm recommending it to all my male friends. A must try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Art of Shaving Full Size Unsented Kit showed up in a nice box. The box had few dents in it butI'm sure it was from shipping. I had a little problem getting the bottles out of the holders but with a little wiggle they came out. All and all it was a very nice set up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Art of Shaving® Full Size Unscented Kit, on the surface, is a well put together, classy looking outfit. However, when used according to directions, one would likely put the products back in the classy box, and then into one's classy rubbish bin. If the products included in The Art of Shaving® Full Size Unscented Kit were to be utilized in a professional setting such as a barber shop, utilizing a straight razor, better results may be achieved. The pre-shave oil, whilst labeled as unscented, has a very pleasant, and manly scent as long as it stays in the bottle. Halfway through the shave, the oil, the unscented shaving cream, which is actually successful in being unscented, or a combination of both, started to attain the aroma of a stagnant pond or a particularly slow flowing river bend. The Art of Shaving® pre-shave oil/shaving cream combination is actually very hard to shave with. It took this reviewer four times as long to shave as usual, due to the fact that it is impossible to rinse the Gillette Fusion razor recommended by The Art of Shaving®. Ordinarily, I would rinse the razor in a basin of hot water and everything would be fine, however, even running the razor under hot water for a lengthy time would not dislodge the gunk between the blades. Additionally, it was necessary to go over the same area multiple times with, and against, the grain to actually get the job done. The badger shaving brush was cool and the after shave balm was nothing to write home about. All in all, it took four times as long to get a less close shave fraught with interesting smells. You would do better to use Gillette, Brut, Edge, Aveeno, or any other brand of shave gel and get yourself a closer and faster shave than this kit provides.
