Amazing kit

I loved every part of this kit. People seem to have forgotten that shaving isn't just a part of their everyday routine, but it is truly an art. This set brought the art back to shaving. Even though it is "unscented" the smell of the pre-shave oil was so nice. It was light and fresh. My girlfriend even commented that I smelled nice.

I would recommend this kit to any many who wants to "up" their shaving routine :)

The Art Of Shaving

I received the art of shaving kit about two weeks ago and have used it exclusively since. I absolutely love it. The pre shave oil is great at waking up the hairs and making them stand straight to prepare for shaving. The Cream produces a great lather that creates an easy glide across the skin along with the real fur brush that feals great on the skin. I would have to say that the aftershave was by far my favorite part of the kit. It moisturizes while at the same time cools the skin and as someone with sensitive skin it is refreshing to find something that completely gets rid of razor burn. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone especially people with sensitive skin. This would make a great gift for someone to give or receive. I could not find a single thing that i didn't like about it. Its high quality that you would expect by its name and it really does turn shaving into an art form. It's the kind of shave you would expect to pay well for at a barber shop.

The Art of Shaving. Just a hair short of perfect.

I received a four piece kit from The Art of Shaving. It included pre-shave oil, shaving cream, pure badger hair shaving cream brush, and after shave balm. The entire kit was labeled as unscented. First, the pre-shave oil did have a slight scent to it, but it was pleasant. The oil applied nicely and evenly. Next I applied the shaving cream. The shaving cream itself was thick and appeared as a premium brand. I applied the shaving cream with both the brush and by hand. The brush made it easier to apply, but took some effort to clean the cream out of it. I then used my multi-bladed razor as I usually use. The only draw back to this product came here. The shaving cream stuck in the razor and I had to rinse the razor while tapping it against the sink to rinse it clean. This I have not had to do with the traditional cream before. I did notice when I was finished a nice clean shave with less nicks and cuts as my traditional method. Sometimes using this product I would have none. Also, I experienced much less razor burn with his product, and that's all before the after shave balm. I then showered and lastly applied the after shave balm. This did not sting or hurt in any way, and seem to compliment the experience nicely. All in all a good product I would recommend.

The art of shaving... It's complex

Wow what a kit. The box alone is pretty awesome. I liked that everything came nicely packaged. Everything in the box came in a generous size amount. I don't know what the exact cost of the kit is but I assume it's not cheap. The kit looks classy. It's surely not some drug store shave gel.
I will start with the pre shave oil. I think this product really softened up my skin. It made for a nice shave surface without makings skin feel oily or irritated. As my wife put it, the scent makes her think of a sexy clean cut man. I know it says unscented it still has a shave smell to it. It isn't over powering or a specific smell just a shave gel smell.
The shave cream has a rich consistency. It almost reminds me of a old school jar of noxzema face cream or a cold cream. The shave cream covered well and allowed for a smooth shave.
The brush is great. I didn't get any loose bristles while using it. It's high quality in its look and usage. It made for a smooth application of the shave cream.
Finally the after shave balm was a good finish. The balm really made my skin soft. I had quite a winter beard and was worried about irritation. The balm kept my skin smooth and hydrated. It didn't feel greasy or oily at all.
Overall I think this is a great kit. I think any man would love it as a gift. There are an ample amount of product included. Like I mentioned before the box alone is appealing.
