High quality kit

I like this kit. It has everything you need all in one package, except a razor. It would have been better if it included one. It contained unscented pre-shave oil, shave cream, after shave and a badger shaving brush. The product was really high quality and I was impressed with it overall. I think the best thing in the kit was the brush. I think it helped get me a closer shave. I usually just use an electric, but now I might switch.

New to Razor Shaving

Well, I want to start off by saying that I have been shaving with an electric shaver for the past 13 years. Just as of late i have switched to a straight razor which i like so much better b/c of all the razor burns i receive with an electric razor. When i received the Art of Shaving Kit in the mail i was pleasantly surprised. The packaging is spot on. It looks and feels very upscale. Once i unpacked everything i completed all the steps. I was a little skeptical about putting an oil directly on my face for the first step. It really helped get my face ready for the shave. I did have to wash my hands right after because i didnt want to get anything else greasy. This was the first time i applied foam with a brush. It was very comfortable doing so. The only thing i was worried about was that it didnt seem like too much lather. I was pleasantly surprised with how close the shave was. The razor glided great with the lather. I used the after shave balm supplied after my shave. I am not a fan of the feeling it gave to my face. It seemed a little sticky. Overall i am very pleased with the kit. I have been using it for the past month and my face and neck has never felt this soft and smooth. I will continue to keep on using it and will probably purchase again when the time comes.

the art of shaving full size kit

Received my art of shaving full size kit and have used several times. I enjoyed all of the pieces if the kit. My kit was unscented I was skeptical because my face tends to get break outs often after trying new products. First the pre shave oil- it went on smooth and made my face feel fresh. Next was using the brush (which I had never used one before). I felt weird at first but after the first few times I enjoyed using the brush. Next was the actual cream it was clean feeling, not sticky or greasy. After my shave I used the last piece which was the shave oil. I really liked that it made my face feel clean, smooth, cool, and soft. After using every other day for almost a week I would definitely recommend this product and purchase again for my self, my son and my father.

Absolutely love it. Great products all around. The oil provides the perfect base to help the razor glide, preventing razor burn. This also seems to promote a better spreading of the shaving cream. The cream is thick and wonderful. Just a little dab goes a long way. I was an avid user of Lab Series, until experiencing this. The after shave is a basic after shave, no frills. But does it's job. It doesn't create an oily effect, which is great.
I am military so I shave daily, a good and comfortable shave is essential.
