Still enjoying the kit

While this is my second review, I just wanted to provide an update. I have now used the Unscented shave kit multiple times. Each time I use the kit, I am still amazed at the quality of the shave that I receive. After having received the kit from the art of shaving to try as a trial, I must admit that I will more likely than not be buying the products contained in the kit, when needed. Still far and away the best shave kit available.

Great Package of Products

I received the full art of shaving kit and it is impressive. The Pre-Shave Oil was a new concept to me and my shaving routine so I wasn't sure how much to use, but it's pretty thick and viscous so it applies smoothly. The Shave cream was quick to lather. The badger brush was actually my favorite and least favorite part of the kit. Maybe I need to wash it more thoroughly or give it some time to break in, but the smell of the wet badger fur is pretty strong. However, it is smooth and easy to lather and spread, much better than the synthetic I use on the road and the horse hair one I use at home currently. The After-Shave Balm was smooth and not greasy or smelly, which is what I like. Overall the kit enhanced my shaving experience and gave me one of my smoothest shaves. I gave the kit 4 stars instead of 5 because individually I don't think any single component is special and the smell of the brush was pretty bad, but as a whole it would be an awesome gift and really improved my shaving experience.

awesome kit! Perfect for a close shave

I recieved my shaving kit a week ago and just had the chance to try it out. I was able to get a great close shave with none of the side effects of just using water. I enjoyed the feel of the brush and the shaving cream was fluffy and covered well. The presentation of the box was very nice, it could easily be given as a gift for fathers day or any occasion.

Unexpected surprise

I wasn't expecting to get a full size kit. I opened the box and saw all the little packets so I figured the bigger box just had the badger hair brush in it. When I opened it and saw it had the full size of everything I was pleasantly surprised. The product itself is a great product. Only thing I didn't like was the pre shave gel is really sticky.
