Soft and cozy, as advertised. The fuzzy lining definitely adds bulk to the inside of the slipper, and decreases the "space" for your foot. Definitely buy a size larger than you normally would. They are sturdy and well-made, would hold up well as an outdoor shoe. You might consider wearing a thin sock with them, as the lining will pick up oils and sweat from your feet, and these cannot be washed. They are constructed like a loafer, with a hard, rubber sole.
This is my first time spending this much on slippers, but I'm glad I did. On me these were wide & I had to size down, but the other pair was too tight. Very comfortable, feet are warm but don't get too hot. Slate color is a mix of gray & brown, very attractive. While I haven't, these could pass for everyday shoes & be worn for out or running a quick errand. I love putting these on when I get home.
