I purchased #3 and it was more of a golden hue my face. I also tried #5 which was too dark as I have olive under tones and my skin tone is medium. It was not my HG bronzer. I use Trish McEvoy, Laura Mercier and NARS which I prefer because the colors I use are brownish rather than golden, pink or red hues.

I had a bit of a tough time with the $ for this bronzer but the reviews were so wonderful, I had to give it a try for myself. Let me just say..ah-hem...I really really thought my previous bronzer was the best...then I applied this. My face just basically "came alive". I don't know if it's the color, or the depth or tone of the bronze in it or what...but I will NEVER buy another bronzer except this one for as long as Guerlain makes this. I was really that impressed. Just wow, wow, wow. And thank you to Nordstrom for the spot-on advice about which color to choose -- it was perfect.
