I got sucked in by the glowing reviews to try the bisque shade on my bluish under eye. No matter how I applied it - ring finger, brushes, sponges- it did exactly nothing to correct. I thought maybe it was me, so I applied it to one side and asked my household if they saw any difference between the two sides - all I got was blank stares. What's worse is that it creased horribly, making my eyes look worse than they do naked. Again, I started with the tiniest amount and tried varying how much I used, besides dusting lightly with a fine powder or with Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder. Results were always the same within minutes. I should have ignored the hype.
My first time buying a color correcting concealer. I read so many reviews of different products and chose this one. This product will work miracles for you - but it is crucial you find your right shade! I have olive skin (blonde hair green eyes) and I have purple-ish bags under my eyes. I typically wear a bright concealer, but noticed this wasn’t doing as good of a job as I am approaching my 30’s. Also I wanted to go to the gym in the morning and touch up my eyes so I stopped looking like a tired rat. This product is amazing! I ordered 4 colors (bisque, light to medium bisque, light peach, and light to medium peach). The verdict? I needed a darker orangier shade in order to cover the purple bags (with and without my normal concealer). The lighter colored color corrector shades I mentioned made my purple bags look worse!! So I highly suggest trying a few shades and 1. Wearing the corrector by itself 2. Then wearing the corrector with your normal under eye makeup…this will help you determine exactly what shade fits you best. Yes it was a bit of work for me to try 3 of the shades I mentioned, but this product is kind of expensive and you want it to actually do its job!
