I don't travel but I bought this size flat iron because I only need to straighten portions of my hair from time to time, mostly around the bangs area. This works well for my purposes. I don't know how well it would work if you had a lot of hair to straighten, you might want the regular sized flat iron instead. I'm happy with this product and pleased with the T3 line of products; I also have their hair dryer and will soon be purchasing their curling iron.

This little flatiron was part of a gift set. I don't straighten my hair much because it takes so long given that my hair is really long and curly. The size of this flatiron didn't help with the amount of time it takes. I'm sure it would be great for someone who doesn't have as much hair.

This little Singlepass is a great sized product for travel or touch ups. Sadly, it only has one temperature, 420 degrees. That just won't do on processed hair. Hated to return it; T3 should consider at least a low/high option. If it had adjustable heat, I would have been thrilled.
