Holds a ton, lightweight and Gorgeous color

I don't know why this is described as small, but it's really a medium size satchel that holds a lot more than I had expected, which is a good thing! Bonus, it is lightweight when empty, so that means it doesn't kill me to carry it full. The leather is soft and beautiful. I purchased the blue shade Adriatic.....wow! This is among the prettiest of turquoise blue I have seen In a bag to date. I love the slip pocket under the fold over zip top in front....that means I can easily stash my keys or phone on the outside...and the design hides it, so it still looks great. I am so pleased with this. If you are debating, go for it!

Prosbeautiful design
I bought this bag after returning another Kate Spade bag, which was too small for me. I've always carried a large bag and I am now downsizing after having shoulder issues. This bag is perfect for me. It is roomy with a lot of pockets inside and a very nice outside pocket, which is a most for me as I like to store my car keys and cell phone here for easy access. The inside is roomy enough to hold a large checkbook wallet, makeup, and small change purse -- all without crowding. I especially appreciate both the cross body strap and handles. A perfect design and beautifully made too! Kate Spade is my new favorite for handbags

Prossoft leather
I ordered this bag in black. The leather is really soft and nice. I ordered this size instead of large because of the shoulder strap but it seems smaller than I expected although I'm only 5'3. However, its a nice bag, overall. Would recommend it to someone who likes to carry a bag that's not too heavy but that could fit your ipad and etc.

I want to love this bag.
Pros: The strap is long enough to carry comfortably as a cross-body (I'm 5'8). There is ample storage and is perfect for travelling. The front pocket under the flap is easily accessible for storing keys and cell phone. The lining is very cute and makes it easy to find things.
Cons: The bag has a strong odor (I have the Storm color), not typical of Kate Spade bags. Maybe it's the dye or the leather? If you're sensitive to smells this may not be the bag for you.
Hence 4 stars instead of 5. The smell bothers me enough that I'm not sure yet if this purse is a keeper. Otherwise, I love everything else about it!
