Love Red Wing boots for their quality and craftsmanship especially their heritage line. These Iron Rangers are beautiful and the leather feels amazing, very high quality, Goodyear welt and the mini lugs soles make them extremely versatile even in the snow.
these are the best boots around period. i own 4 colors now and should probably not purchase the last color but i probably will because these boots are "clothing investments" if there ever were such a thing.
Get The Right Size!!! I wear a 10 in just about every shoe and some shoes a 10E. I tried these on every which way: 9 D, 9 EE, 9.5 D, 9.5 EE, and 10D. Everything you've read about them being uncomfortable is true. I had read that they should be tight but not uncomfortable and it seems that many reviews recommend going down a full size. The 9 felt tight in the store, but I followed the advice of those reviewers. After a couple months I new I had made a mistake. They were too tight and too painful. I exchanged for a 9.5 D and it changed my life. I almost opted for the EE, but I had read that the whole boot is wider including the heel - don't be tempted! For me, and I think most people, size down 1/2 size in the D.
Very comfortable shoe after going through the break-in process. You will probably want to at least get these sized in person, they are notoriously tricky to find the correct size. For instance, my brannock size is 11.5D with my feet on the more narrow side. My Iron Rangers are a size 10D.
